Jerusalem Plate

Ingredients (4 servings):

  • 200 grams chicken breast
  • 2 onions
  • 2 bell peppers (1 red, 1 green)
  • 1 pickled pepper
  • 1 bunch of parsely
  • 1 package NENI am Tisch Humus
  • Jerusalem plate spice mix from NENI am Tisch

This is a typical specialty in Jerusalem and yet one cannot get the „Meoray Jerushalmi,” the name for “mixed Jerusalem plate” everywhere in the city but rather only in special traditional Arabic eateries. For Neni, we have slightly changed it because the original includes chicken heart and stomach, which would probably be a bit too exotic for our customers.


Cut the chicken breast and bell peppers into strips. Slice the pickled pepper into small circles. In olive oil, brown finely chopped onions with the bell peppers and the pieces of pickled pepper. Add in the chicken strips. When the meat is done, include the spice mix and decorate with fresh parsely. To serve, spread the humus generously on the plate and place the cooked dish on top.
